She will interview Peace Education Program Director Willow Baker as well as Lumka Ngxoli, a facilitator of the program in South Africa. Their perspectives will be featured alongside presentations from activist/actress Claudia Cardinale, Nobel Laureate human rights lawyer Shirin Ebadi, award-winning business coach Carol Kauffman, former U.S. diplomatic advisor Stephenie Foster and Royal Thai sustainability coordinator Pear Wongtitirote.

Recognized annually by the U.N. since 1977, International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

“I think women should have a special role in all noble causes and especially in everything that promotes peace. Women are very active in the Peace Education Program because it’s about personal peace and growth. Discovering appreciation, choice, self-awareness and contentment can be a very liberating experience. Women often express that they have been transformed during the workshops, and many of them become facilitators to help others discover their inner strength,” says Willow Baker. “At times in my life, and I know in the lives of so many women, things can feel hard, and it’s easy to feel powerless. One of the things I appreciate about Prem Rawat’s Peace Education Program workshops is that he reminds us that we do have power – power to change ourselves and our world.”
