On June 10, 2018, Prem Rawat was invited by Pastor Lorraine Jones to engage with community leaders at Lambeth Community College to address the recent increase in deaths from knife crime in London. Pastor Jones has been on a mission to find solutions to gang violence since her son was stabbed to death in 2014. Her NGO, Dwaynamics, organized the event in collaboration with Celebrate Life Events and Lambeth Police Community Partnerhips.

Guests including the Jamaican High Commissioner and the Mayor of Lambeth, were treated to a range of entertainment from local young talent through music, dance, and the spoken word. The evening was part of Prem’s uplifting tribute to raise awarness that #PeaceisPossible, and followed famous graffiti artist, Ben Eine, painting Prem Rawat’s timeless message across the walls of Shoreditch House on Ebor Street.

“I’d like to thank Pastor Jones for inviting me to her Seeds of Peace event. Bringing together communities affected by youth violence is an important part of the healing process that comes with experiencing violent crime,” said Prem.

He also marked the event with a push to make The Prem Rawat Foundation’s Peace Education Program available for more London youth. “If the initiative is able to make a difference in post-conflict zones such as Colombia and South Africa, then I have hope that it can have a positive impact on the streets of London too,” he said.
