Each Saturday, The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) works with stations in six cities across the U.S. to broadcast episodes of a unique television series that features Prem Rawat’s international talks about personal peace.
His message that peace is possible for every human being is at the heart of the multstate broadcasts, which began in March after a successful pilot program in Arizona attracted record viewership. The aim is to build a sustainable model for showing Prem Rawat’s message on television by attracting a growing audience and national sponsorship. The broadcasts were recently expanded to include two new markets: Detroit, MI and Milwaukee, WI. The other cities where the series is shown are Phoenix, AZ, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and Austin, TX.
“Overall it is going well. The metrics show that we have a consistent audience that’s growing slowly but surely,” says Matt Altman, a volunteer who initiated the television series and who serves as secretary of the foundation’s board of directors.
The series has already gained sponsors that are offsetting some of the costs, but TPRF has committed to funding the majority of related expenses through the end of the year.
“We can say with confidence that we are building an audience and an awareness of Prem Rawat’s message, which was the initial goal,” says Altman. “There is potential for more growth with consistent support in marketing and promotion.”
