The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) recently formalized its collaboration with the Provincial University of Ezeiza in Buenos Aires, Argentina at a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony. The agreement supports the ongoing implementation of TPRF’s Peace Education Program to help university students reflect on their humanity and their inner resources such as choice, hope and dignity.
The Provincial University of Ezeiza (UPE) is a public, tuition-free university located just 30 kilometers outside of Buenos Aires. UPE prepares its 10,000 students through academic and professional disciplines ranging from software development to tourism and occupational health and safety. In their statement celebrating the signing of the agreement, UPE said the memorandum’s aim was to strengthen joint efforts to promote peace education and wellbeing for its university community.
The ceremony, held on March 31, 2026, was attended by Peace Education Program Director Willow Baker, who described the meeting as a lively, inspiring conversation around the benefits of the Peace Education Program in higher education and the efforts that both the university and the foundation are making to enhance students’ experience. UPE Rector Daniel Galli, Vice Rector Professor Macarena Forneris, and Ayelen Rocha, Secretaria de Extension Universitaria, acknowledged students’ needs for such a program and expressed their gratitude to the foundation and its volunteer facilitators. Pablo Ortiz, a Buenos Aires restaurant manager and one of the facilitators, explained that the course is also open to the community and attracts people from other provinces, creating a diverse audience. He told Willow Baker, “My week is spent eagerly awaiting the next class.”
UPE Rector Daniel Galli commented on the positive impact he has witnessed the Peace Education Program having on UPE’s student body so far, saying the program helped students “by fostering the development of solidarity, peace and harmonious coexistence, enabling them to address personal and professional challenges with greater clarity and awareness in the environments in which they will serve as professionals.”
Since 2022, the Peace Education Program has been offered virtually twice a year at UPE, with options for academic credit. To date, more than 580 students have attended the workshops and learned, many for the first time, about the possibility of personal peace. The memorandum signed by TPRF and UPE solidifies this partnership by bolstering Peace Education Program implementation through cooperative training for university staff to facilitate the program, providing workshop materials at no cost and supporting the rollout of workshops.
The Peace Education Program consists of a series of innovative video-based workshops aimed at helping people, including college and university students, discover their inner strengths. The workshop’s 10 themes include: Peace, Appreciation, Inner Strength, Self-Awareness, Clarity, Understanding, Dignity, Choice, Hope and Contentment. Program participants have the opportunity to reflect on each of these 10 themes and participate in activities designed to support the development of a deeper understanding and personal awareness.
This workshop series has been a particularly valuable resource for students across the world, who have found that the program offers space to pause, reflect and reconnect with themselves and one another, amid their busy day-to-day lives.
This new partnership is one of many meaningful collaborations TPRF has recently fostered with universities across the world, including in India and Colombia, in an effort to increase accessibility to its Peace Education Program for students and faculty.
