Prem Rawat Foundation to Help Flood Victims in Nepal

The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) has made a U.S. $20,000 grant to help victims of recent devastating floods in Nepal, which have displaced hundreds of thousands of people and created dire conditions for millions more.

There is an urgent need to provide food to people impacted by the intense rains, and TPRF is working with its long-term partner, Premsagar Foundation Nepal, to make sure that aid reaches those who need it the most. The storms are likely to exacerbate food shortages throughout the country for many months to come, as they struck the agricultural region of Terai the hardest, destroying thousands of acres of crops.

Your support will add to the amount TPRF can contribute to the effort to address the ongoing food shortages that are causing so much suffering.

The TPRF tribute to support people in Nepal comes on the heels of a successful effort to provide aid to victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

“Time and time again our donors step up to provide the critical support that is needed to save lives and help people live with dignity when disasters strike,” says TPRF Board Chair Linda Pascotto. “Thank you so much to everyone who makes this crucial assistance possible.”

TPRF has a long track record of successful partnership with Premsagar Foundation Nepal to provide humanitarian aid to people in Nepal. Learn more about the Food for People program, which serves thousands of nutritious meals to children and the elderly everyday.
