The Potenza Correctional Facility is demonstrating an innovative and avant-garde approach towards the enforcement of sentences.
In his meeting with the Management of the Facility, Mr Lomuti presented the Peace Education Program (PEP) as a valid tool to apply in the education of inmates and their reintegration into society.
This important program is part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Ministry of Justice’s Department for the Management of Correctional Facilities and is a national project promoting a rehabilitation program able to make inmates aware of the importance of making informed choices and become more aware of their own behavior.
The visit to the Correctional Facility ended with a commitment from all those there to continue these projects and initiatives aimed at contributing positively to the inmates’ re-entry into society.
