More than 200 incarcerated people and more than 50 Prison Education Coordinators from the Prison Education Foundation (FUNAP) are participating biweekly in the Peace Education Program across 10 correctional facilities in São Paulo, Brazil and the results are drawing growing support from authorities.
The Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration recently highlighted the program in a news article on the department’s website, reporting that the workshops help inmates discover inner strength and personal peace with presentations by Prem Rawat on themes such as dignity, choice, and hope.
