The Peace Education Program brings a unique resource to the 5th World Congress on Probation and Parole in Ottawa, Canada.
The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) supports the 5th World Congress on Probation and Parole’s values and vision to achieve No One Left Behind: Building Community Capacity.
TPRF’s Peace Education Program is an innovative series of video-based, facilitated workshops. Its unique approach aims to increase self-awareness to support resilience, empathy and wellbeing through a strengths-based curriculum. Demonstrating its cross-cultural relevance, 300,000 people in 80 countries and in 40 languages have participated in the Peace Education Program, including 100,000 people in corrections, probation and parole systems.
Course content and implementation support are provided free of charge by The Prem Rawat Foundation to humanitarian-oriented endeavors. The 10 themes are: Peace, Appreciation, Inner Strength, Self-Awareness, Dignity, Choice, Hope, Clarity, Understanding and Contentment. Each workshop features the international talks of renowned author Prem Rawat, who has shared his inspiring insights on the topic of peace with people around the world for over 50 years.

British Parolee Billa Nanra shares his story of incarceration and how the Peace Education Program empowered him to kick a 22-year heroin addiction and get his life back on track. Now free from crime and substance use, Billa has become a volunteer facilitator of the Peace Education Program for at-risk youth and other groups.
