Mr. Rawat, along with some of the other best and brightest leaders in the field of peace education, will share compelling insights, perspectives and approaches to building a worldwide culture of peace.

The conference will take place the day before the United Nations (UN) marks the International Day of Peace, a time devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace.

While peace advocates around the world are pleased that Peace Day is now a yearly event on September 21, an increasingly vocal number of them have been lobbying the UN to take their peace-building efforts further by establishing a Global Peace Education Day – an event to expand principles and initiatives in schools, organizations and institutions around the world.

This year’s conference is meant to highlight the need for peace education and raise the profile of creating a new complementary occasion.

In addition to including TPRF Founder Prem Rawat and Peace Education Program Director Willow Baker, the conference will include leading peace advocates such as Gabriella Ramos, Anwarul Chowdhury, Kozue Akibayashi, Kehkeyshan Basu, Doudou Diene, Guila Clara Kessous, and Frederico Mayor Zaragosa.

The conference will be hosted by American screen and stage actor Michael Nouri and it promises to be an informative, energizing and inspiring day for aspiring peace practitioners and educators everywhere.
