The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) will provide an initial $50,000 in humanitarian aid to help victims of the severe flooding that recently struck Nepal. The flash flood swept through the country’s mountainous northern region August 26, leaving thousands injured, displaced and struggling to meet their basic needs.
The TPRF aid will provide essential supplies such as food and water to those in dire need. Your donations will add to the amount of aid that TPRF will provide.
We have received many compassionate inquiries about the TPRF Food for People program, which provides thousands of daily meals to disadvantaged children in Nepal. We’re pleased to report that the Food for People team, facility and partner schools were unharmed by the flood. The community of Tasarpu, where the program is based, is thousands of feet above the flood zone. However, surrounding areas of the Dhading district were affected at lower elevations.
TPRF is working with local team members to assess the situation and determine how the aid can best help those most in need. Stay tuned for updates.
Thank you to all of our supporters who make humanitarian efforts like this possible.
