Thanks to the generous support of donors from across the globe, The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) has been able to provide $125,000 in vital humanitarian aid to help people recover from a devastating recent earthquake in Myanmar.
The 7.7 magnitude quake struck on March 28 leaving thousands of people across the Southeast Asian country without food, shelter, medical care and other necessities. The daily struggles have been compounded by poverty and civil war.
TPRF aid is helping address fundamental human needs through a partnership with CESVI, a charitable organization that is in a strong position to help people in Myanmar who need it the most. The TPRF grant of $125,000 to CESVI has provided essential food, water, emergency shelter, hygiene supplies, healthcare assistance, psychosocial support and other crucial aid.
CESVI made this video to highlight how TPRF funds are supporting the humanitarian efforts in Myanmar:

“We at CESVI are deeply grateful for having TPRF at our side to respond to this humanitarian catastrophe in Myanmar,” says Roberto Vignola, CESVI Deputy General Manager. “Thanks to the strong support of TPRF and its donors, CESVI is able to provide life-saving aid to thousands of vulnerable people by distributing food, water, medicine, tents, blankets and warm clothes.”
TPRF Board Chair Linda Pascotto comments that, “The aid TPRF provided is possible because of the support and compassion of donors from around the world. Empathy, kindness and understanding are the foundation of what moves us to help those in need and offer a ray of hope. One cannot measure generosity — it belongs to the heart!”

Addressing Human Needs Beyond the Earthquake
Since Prem Rawat founded TPRF in 2001, it has given over 190 grants totaling over $6.7 million to a variety of partner NGOs in 47 countries to help victims of natural disasters, disease, war and other tragedies.
The humanitarian grants are just one of the ways that Prem Rawat’s foundation fulfills its mission of addressing fundamental human needs and advancing dignity, peace and prosperity across the globe.
TPRF’s Food for People program has provided over 7.1 million nutritious meals, clean water and educational opportunities to disadvantaged children and elderly adults in India, Nepal, Ghana and South Africa.
TPRF also offers the Peace Education Program, an innovative series of video-based workshops that have helped over 500,000 people in 80 countries discover their own inner strength, hope and peace.
Registered as a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, TPRF earns the highest rankings from independent evaluators such as Candid (Guidestar) and Charity Navigator for financial responsibility, transparency and accountability.
