Cape Flats, a disadvantaged area on the outskirts of Cape Town, faces persistent food insecurity, affecting schoolchildren, families and elderly residents. The demand for reliable daily meals continues to rise.
The renovated kitchen strengthens TPRF’s ability to respond. Increased production capacity means more meals can reach schools and community distribution points. More children now receive dependable nourishment that supports learning and attendance.

Additional cooking stations allow the team to expand menus beyond basic staples. Fresh vegetables, proteins and other locally sourced ingredients are incorporated more consistently. Meals are designed to provide sustained energy and essential nutrients.

A Proven Global Model
Food for People is an initiative inspired by Prem Rawat’s vision to alleviate poverty and address basic human needs. Launched in 2006, Food for People now operates in India, Nepal, Ghana, and South Africa. To date, more than 8.5 million nutritious meals have been served worldwide.
