The Everglades Endeavor is a newspaper that is published by the Everglades Correctional Institution (ECI) and distributed to inmates in Miami, Florida. These articles were written by inmates participating in the Peace Education Program there. In “Peace Out,” Timothy McCarry writes to his fellow inmates about why he recommends the program. In “What Peace Means to Me,” Matthew Gummo shares the new perspective he’s gained on peace by participating in the program.
