New Delhi, April 23, 2007 — Over 500,000 people in more than 2,250 locations around India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal participated in a live satellite telecast with Prem Rawat.
The telecast originated in Chattarpur, thirty miles south of New Delhi, on the event site of Raj Vidya Kender, the organization that advances Prem Rawat’s message of peace throughout the Indian subcontinent. More than 75,000 people attended the live event with Prem Rawat in Chattarpur. The one-hour event included a live question-and-answer session with Prem Rawat, known also as Maharaji. People in the audience stood up and asked him questions, which he answered. People around the Indian subcontinent could see and hear the address and the people asking questions.
For Shyam Vir Singh, from Guargaon, “People say that the world needs peace, but I realized at this event that Prem Rawat makes it possible to find peace within. And from that, peace in the world becomes possible. The peace that I feel just listening to Prem Rawat’s words already feels like a miracle. I found peace here, and I am very happy.”
For R.N. Shreevastava, from New Delhi, “What Prem Rawat says is very simple. Each of his words and examples touches my heart. Listening to him, I start to see how I can really fulfill my life.”
For K.K. Bodar, from Bahadurgar in the state of Haryana, “Prem Rawat’s address was so easy to understand, even for uneducated people like me. His examples are so striking and help me look at my life with the proper understanding. His message is more than words: I feel a lot of peace just listening to him, and I want more of this. He says that to describe peace and to experience peace are two different things. Today, I understood that in a practical way. I felt this peace.”
This was the third interactive telecast with Prem Rawat in India.
