The Lord Mayor and the regional consul for Nepal were among some of the VIP guests and sponsors attending a champagne reception at Bad Vilbel’s prestigious golf club.

On November 23, TPRF founder Prem Rawat made his first visit to the Foundation’s new Food For People (FFP) facility in the remote village of Otinibi, near Accra, Ghana.

There he was greeted with a warm welcome and jubilant ceremony by local school children, teachers, and attending dignitaries.

TPRF contributors earmarked approximately $3,000 to provide aid for people displaced by Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast of the US. The Foundation decided to focus on the community of Far Rockaway on the Queens shoreline, in New York where the havoc wrought by the storm had been particularly serious.

Earthquake and Tsunami Survivors Find Healing in Outdoor Gardening

After a massive earthquake and tsunami devastated northern Japan last year, TPRF donors responded generously to assist onsite emergency relief organizations. Now, more than a year later, TPRF is partnering with AmeriCares to help in the long process of recovery for residents of Rikuzentakata, a small town on the ravaged Tohoku coastline, where 2,000 lives were lost—one tenth of the town's population—and nearly 3,500 homes destroyed.
